You made it happen.

As I write this final newsletter of the 2020 growing season, the feeling is very bittersweet. When I envisioned starting the CSA back in early winter, the concept was simple.. start small (25 shares was the goal) and offer the community quality, organically grown produce. It has felt to me like building a small family since our first pick up week- I’ve so enjoyed meeting everyone and chatting during pick up times. Though I am excited to have some time to rest and regroup for spring 2021, I will really miss seeing you all each week - I do hope that you’ll consider another share with Snowfields next year and also tell your friends. My hope is to expand and diversify our offerings so that more people can join our little family. Thank you again for all of your patience, consideration and support. I am truly grateful.

In this week's final share we've got potatoes, onions, peppers, tomatoes, beets, turnips, greens choice and parsley. In case you're feeling like you have a backlog of some of these choices, don't forget that many are prime candidates for storing, pickling and freezing so that you can enjoy them all through the winter. The U Maine Coop Extension has a ton of great information of food preservation, so don't let that pile of beets intimidate you!

Even though things will be a little bit slower around the farm, the high tunnel is staying warm, and I plan on offering veggie boxes for sale closer to the holidays. Specific items will be announced soon, so if you’re interested in hearing more about our off season happenings, keep an eye on your email, this website, Facebook and Instagram
