Week 3 CSA Pick Up
It’s hard to believe that we’re already nearing the end of July- things are continuing to pop at the farm and we’ll have a few new things in the share this week. Here’s what we’ll have on tap for you:
Summer squash, lettuce mix, peas, collards and kale. We will also have some dried lavender bunches and potted basil plants for purchase. The lavender smells amazing- you’ll notice it right away when you come in to the barn for pick up!
We want to know what you’re doing with your veggies each week, so please share your photos and recipes with us, or tag us on social media @snowfieldsfarm.
Location and pick up day reminders: Pick up days are Monday, July 27 and Wednesday, July 29, from 4pm-6:30pm
Where: 450 Lawrence Road, Pownal, ME
The farm is at the end of a long dirt road, which will be marked with a sign at the entrance to the driveway. Proceed past the first house, past the greenhouse on your right and you will see the red “Snowfields Farm” barn ahead.
Parking: Please park on the left hand side of the driveway, along the white fencing. Keep the area in front of the barn clear. There are some cows in the field to the left of the barn, which you can visit- just keep some distance from the fencing, and do not attempt to reach out to the animals, as the fence has an electric current.
Pick Up Procedure: We are observing masking and social distance policy, as mandated by the Maine State CDC. Please bring your own bags for pick up. When it is your turn to approach the service area, we ask that you wear a mask and maintain a safe distance from other patrons. We will serve one person at a time. We know that people can have strong feelings about wearing a mask, but we take our responsibility seriously to keep all patrons safe. If you have any issues with this, please get in touch with us prior to your arrival to make other arrangements.
See you soon!
