Week 2 CSA Pick Up

t was so great to finally meet all of you last week, and we hope that you enjoyed the first week’s harvest. Some of you were kind enough to share your recipes and pictures of how you used your veggies- we love that!! Please let us know what you’re doing each week so we can tell others and share your skills and knowledge.

Week# 2 will include the following:
More kale, spicy mix and lettuce greens, bok choy, collard greens and radishes.

Also, as a special offering, CSA members will be able to cut fresh lavender at the farm! The lavender was planted last year and is doing very well so far- we want to show our appreciation to all of our members and let you take home some of the very first cuts. Please bring your own pair of scissors and an extra bag for your flowers.

Location and pick up day reminders:
Pick up days are Monday, July 20 and Wednesday, July 22, from 4pm-6:30pm

Where: 450 Lawrence Road, Pownal, ME
The farm is at the end of a long dirt road, which will be marked with a sign at the entrance to the driveway. Proceed past the first house, past the greenhouse on your right and you will see the red “Snowfields Farm” barn ahead. 

Parking: Please park on the left hand side of the driveway, along the white fencing. Keep the area in front of the barn clear. There are some cows in the field to the left of the barn, which you can visit- just keep some distance from the fencing, and do not attempt to reach out to the animals, as the fence has an electric current.

Pick Up Procedure: We are observing masking and social distance policy, as mandated by the Maine State CDC. Please bring your own bags for pick up. When it is your turn to approach the service area, we ask that you wear a mask and maintain a safe distance from other patrons. We will serve one person at a time. We know that people can have strong feelings about wearing a mask, but we take our responsibility seriously to keep all patrons safe. If you have any issues with this, please get in touch with us prior to your arrival to make other arrangements.
